Babbacombe model village

Located on the English Riviera, this little famous village is branded as one of Europe’s premier model villages. This amazing attraction also has a miniature railway, beautiful miniature gardens, and even a fire breathing dragon! Located in Torquay, it is a must-see attraction for anyone nearby.

Plymouth Gin Distillery

Created and established in 1793, Black Friars Distillery in Plymouth is the oldest working gin distillery in England. Proud creator of the infamous Plymouth Gin, this fantastic attraction is located in the very heart of Plymouth. The building has been in place since the early 1400’s with the oldest part of the building, the refectory, a medieval hall dating back to 1431.

It is said that the distillery is where the pilgrims spend their last night before setting off on the Mayflower to the New World. Enriched with history, this definitely an amazing experience to be had.

 

Dartmoor National Park

Covering a massive 954 km, you can easily get lost in the wonders of Dartmoor. With stunning forests, scenic landscapes and wild animals – you can make many trips here and feel like there is still so much more to see. Considered to be the heart of Devon, you will want to explore every crevice this magical park has to offer.

Tunnels Beaches

This wonderful attraction was hand carved in the 1820’s and radiates such an amazing scene. It consists of four tunnels with some extensive information about its history throughout. The site was developed into what it is today by some local entrepreneurs who had a unique dream to transform this small fishing village into a proud gem of Devon.

 

Woolacombe Beach

Woolacombe is one of the most stunning beaches the west country has to offer. It has won multiple awards and is widely recognised as one of the best beaches in the UK. A very popular location for surfers who can enjoy some Atlantic waves crashing into the 3-mile-long golden coast. This beach is perfect for families who want to relish the traditional seaside experience – Offering beach hut rentals, daily cleaning and is safely operated by lifeguards. With Woolacombe village close by, you can find many options of refreshments including cafes, restaurants, and seaside shops.

Exmoor Zoo

Exmoor Zoo is famed for consistently growing year by year – adding more and more animals and experiences! The zoo originally opened 1982 as just a simple bird garden but was later purchased by its current owners in 1993 who have developed it ever since. For many years Exmoor zoo only specialised in small animals but have now expanded into many different types. These include Puma’s, reindeer, wolves, meerkats, cheetah’s and lots more.

Exmoor zoo prides itself in not being the conventional type – it offers a more personal and friendly experience allowing closer contact to the animals. This is definitely a place you have to visit!
