When is the best time to visit Devon?

Devon experiences some of the best weather this country is exposed to. Being on the south coast, it is as close as you can get to our Mediterranean neighbours. That said, Devon has a maritime climate like most of the UK meaning that it experiences all four seasons. This means Devon still endures cold winters, but also experiences lovely hot summers. With no extreme weather conditions to be worried about, Devon is a safe place to call Holiday-Home.

You will find the peak of daylight hours and sun during June, July, and August. This makes it the best time of year to visit if you like the sun shining and making the most of the long days. If weather is not an important factor for you, Mid-spring and Autumn are great times to visit being quieter with less tourism.

Devon is well known for surfing, especially prolific in Torquay. You will often find some great wind conditions to enjoy some adrenaline fuelled water sports. So, if you are the adventurous type, Devon can be a fantastic location all year round.
